Originally started in 1993 as K. School of Music it is now known as Julie Scott’s Academy, Swindon.
Julie started in the business in 1975 although she had been singing, dancing and playing her trumpet since she was just 5 years old.

Julie Scott’s Academy offers Jazz, Street, Freestyle, Tap, Ballet and Musical Theatre Classes. Students are in safe hands with top teachers Deena Lovegrove and Shona Loveday who are members of International Dance Teachers Association.
The Academy teaches to high IDTA exams standards and over the last three years have obtained over 98% success in results with a large number of students achieving a 90% honours rate, which was tremendous and they were all very excited about it!.

Classes at the moment are held at 14b Athena Avenue, Swindon, SN2 8EJ. Mondays to Saturday.

The Academy offers Musical Theatre on Tuesday and Saturday; these groups are split into 3 to 12 years and 13 year plus age groups.
Both groups offer Dancing, Singing and Drama, a full three hours packed full. Here the students rehearse their skills for the Academy shows which are held twice a year at the Local Collage Theatre. The Academy also performs for charity’s to raise money for good causes, and puts on many other shows at local fetes etc.
Julie also offers private singing lessons for all styles and all ages, some students do this for fun and to help them in their dance career which these days requires dancers to sing as well as dance. Most students are put into exams which are graded by the Rock School and gives the students a long term goal in their singing.
Julie now offers students the opportunity to be put through exams by the well accredited Rock School, where her students are achieving excellent exam results!
